World Famous German Beers

If beer isn’t the first thing you think about when someone says ‘Germany’ then it must be sausages. Lucky for everyone, we have plenty of both!

What makes the beers so special is first and foremost the Reinheitsgebot, or as it’s known in English the German Beer Purity Law adopted around the brink of the XVI century. As the name suggests it’s about keeping the beer pure, with the only permitted ingredients being water, hops, and barley. Yeast was included in that list later as it was not known to be useful in beer fermentation at the time.

Having been introduced for various historical reasons, we are the ones reaping the benefits by having a law that prohibits the use of enzymes, preservatives and glucose syrup amongst other nasties that spoil the reputation of our beloved beverage!

We have an amazing 18 draught beers available at all times, from some of the biggest brands from Germany.
